Mr. Page is the director of the Prehospital Care Research Forum at UCLA and active field paramedic with Allina Health EMS in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.
He serves as the current and founding chair of the International Paramedic Registry assessment and credentialing board. He has over 39 years of continuous EMS street experience. He is the Director of EMS Education for EMS Corps.

Would it surprise you to learn that field experience improves NREMT scores? Learn to think differently and have your students think critically about the NREMT exam. You will never look at cognitive evaluation in the same way and your students will think their exam was a walk in the park. This presentation will update instructors on change to the NREMT and how technology enhanced items (TEIs) will be measuring clinical judgement.

Description: Inter-rater variability is a major threat to the validity of any subjective or performance assessments. This presentation will discuss the problem of inter-rater reliability and discuss strategies to increase the dependability of performance and affective evaluations.
